Press Club condemns assault on mediapersons

Kolkata, Nov 7: The Press Club, Kolkata, has condemned the alleged assault on a private TV channel's reporter and cameraman at Chandipur in Nandigram.

A release issued by the Press Club here yesterday alleged that some miscreants assaulted reporter Jahangir Badsha and cameraman Akbar Hossain Mullick, snatched away their camera and even tried to abduct them.

It also alleged that the incident was an instance of partisan hatred and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.
