Peace returns to Nandigram, Khejuri after war-like situation

Nandigram, Nov7(UNI) Except a few sporadic firing in Nandigram and Khejuri, there was almost peace in the area today following yesterday's widespread violence and war-like situation.

Bhumi Uchhed Protirodh Committee Convener and AITC MLA Sisir Adhikary the Trinamool Congress has given a call for a complete 'Bandh' for seven days in the entire East Midnapur District from November 12 protesting the alleged killings by the CPI(M).

However, all the BUPC supporters who had deserted their villages in Satengabari, Takapura, Brindabanchak, Omarpur were returning to their villages.

While, thousands of deserters were entering their villages this morning, sporadic firing from Tekhali Bridge injured two persons. SP East Midnapur S S Panda said. Both of them have been admitted into Tamluk Hospital.
