Moderate intensity of earthquake rocked Shillong

Shillong, Nov 7 (UNI) An earthqkake of moderate intensity measuring at 5.3 on Richter Scale was rocked Shillong and its neighbouring areas at around 1240 hours today.

There was no immediate report of loss of lives or peroperty from anywhere.

Its longitude was 92.5 east and latitude was 72.1 north, seisomological department sources here said.

Its epicentre was 331 km towards Bangladesh-Mizoram border from seisomological centre.
