Kamdhenu Ispat ventures into paints biz

New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) Kamdhenu Ispat Ltd today said it was foraying into the paints business .

The company is setting up a plant at Bhiwadi in Rajasthan for the paint project, a company statement said.

Kamdhenu Ispat Ltd (KIL) recently announced its entry into the structural steel market. As part of this venture, the company said it will manufacture angles, beams, channels and flats through the franchise route to capture a chunk of the segment that is growing annually at over six per cent.

The comapny registered a rise of 19.48 per cent in net profit for the second quarter ended September 2007. During the quarter, net profit of the company jumped to Rs 33.67 million from Rs 28.18 million in the same quarter, last year.
