Heavy rains likely in TN, Kerala, Lakshadweep

Pune, Nov 7 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in coastal Karnataka, at a few places in south interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Jammu and Kashmir, south Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, north Gujarat, Marathwada, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The Northeast Monsoon has been vigorous in Kerala. Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Kerala.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka.

Night temperatures were below normal in Kerala. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Manipur, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and in some parts of Vidarbha. They were above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, some parts of Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka, and in remaining parts of Vidarbha. They were normal over the rest of the country.
