Gurgaon roads to be pothole free by month-end

Gurgaon, Nov 7 (UNI) All roads in Gurgaon district will be made pothole free by November 30 and a campaign will be launched to clean sewerage lines in old Gurgaon town by this year-end, Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Gupta told mediapersons here today.

Mr Gupta said the roads in Gurgaon will be made motorable so that the people faced less inconvenience and directions have been issued to the officers concerned for filling potholes on schedule.

In reply to a question, the Deputy Commissioner said that after the festival of Diwali, the anti-encroachment drive will be again taken up and emphasis will be laid on beautification of the town.

In this beautification task, the Estate Officer of Huda Gurgaon-1 had been asked to start the process of shifting the auto repair shops from old Delhi road to auto market on local Basai road.

All basic infrastructures has been provided in this newly brought up auto market except storm water drainge system which will be laid soon. After this the problem of encroachment and traffic jam on old Delhi road will be solved.

He said the encroachment along the roads will be removed by the department concerned and in Huda land it was the responsibility of the Estate Officer.

Mr Gupta stressed that the responsibility of verification of the tenants rests with the landlord or the house owner and the administration had already issued directions in this regard under section 144 of the CrPC.
