Extremists evacuate five occupied Swat Tehsils

Islamabad, Nov 7 (UNI) The pro-Taliban extremists owing allegiance to cleric Mullah Fazlullah who had claimed of taking control of five Tehsils of Swat, have evacuated the said Tehsils and have left the area after successful talks with local dignitaries.

Earlier, it was claimed that the extremists had taken control of Matta, Khawazakhel, Kabal and Charbagh tehsils and appointed o fficials. They had also seized police stations in Kalam and Madan areas, reported Geo TV.

The government vehicles had also been reportedly taken by the insurgents whereas they had established check posts in Imam Dehri, Chota Kalam, Shakar Darra, Pir Kalay, Barimpul and Charbagh areas.
