District level Youth Festival to begin from Nov 26

Chandigarh, Nov 7 (UNI) Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Department will organise a district level Youth Festival from November 26 to 27 in each district of the State.

While stating this here today, Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Department Kiran Choudhry said that the youth festival would be organised in two categories.

The first category of the festival would consists of 18 various competitions included Haryanavi Folk dance, Haryanavi Folk songs, One Act play, Extempore Speech, Classical Singing (Hindustani and Carnetic), Sitar, Flute, Tabla, Veena, Mredgum, Guitar, Harmonium, Manipuri, Kucchipuri, Orrisi and Kathak dance and Bharatnatyam.

While in the second category of the festival, the glimpses of Haryanavi culture would be displayed.

Ms Choudhry said that the participants would be of age group in between 13 to 35 years. The first position holders in this festival would participate in the state level youth festival which would be held from December 11 to 13 at Ambala.

UNI
