Cops seek court's permission to destroy beef

Vadodara, Nov 7 (UNI) Vadodara city police has sought the court's permission to destroy 45 tonnes of beef lying in three trucks on the highway for more than two days.

The police had intercepted the three trucks since last Sunday and arrested five men for illegally transporting the beef.

Bharatiya Sarvadaliya Gowraksha Mahaabhiyan Samiti president Viha Bharwad had alerted the police in this regard.
