Atleast 20,000 students of ad hoc secondary schools in Garo Hills region of the state were unable to appear in the secondary school selection test following the ongoing indefinite ''non-cooperation movement'' by the teachers since October 25.
The association said the secondary school students, who could not appear in the selection test, would be allowed to appear in the final examinations.
The AGHGASST had been demanding more facilities, including a pay hike.
Meanwhile, the state Directorate of Higher and Technical Education has appealed to the teachers to resume their duties and ensure that the examinations and classes ran smoothly.
It also warned that necessary action would be taken against those who did not comply with the order.
