A Manipuri arrested from NSCBI airport

Kolkata, Nov 7 (UNI) A front ranking leader of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) was nabbed at the NSCBI airport last night.

Police said here today that V Tucfu alias T Sema was caught when CISF personnel discovered several .9 mm pistol cartridges in his handbag during a security check before boarding a Delhi-bound flight.

He could not give any satisfactory explanation regarding the presence of ammunition in his handbag and also failed to produce any licence.

He was later arrested and produced in court, which remanded him in police custody.
