2 pilgrims killed, 45 hurt as truck overturns

Fatehpur, Nov 7 (UNI) At least two pilgrims were killed and 45 others grievously injured after a truck, carrying them, overturned in Thariyanv area here today.

According to police, driver of the truck, carrying people from Kanpur to the holy city Allahabad, lost control over the wheels near village Bharatpur, killing two passengers instantly.

The injured were rushed to a hospital in a serious condition.

Meanwhile, the truck driver and conductor fled the scene.

The deceased were identified as Ramsia (30) and Bhulia (35).
