Reliance Microsoft inks deal

Mumbai, Nov 06, 2007 : Reliance Communications Ltd have signed a contract worth an estimated $500 million with Microsoft Corp to sell Internet television to customers in India.

The service will be powered by Microsoft's Mediaroom Internet Protocol Television or IPTV software. Reliance Communications Chairman Anil Ambani and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer made a joint announcement in India's financial capital, Mumbai.
