Three models among 5 held for prostitution in Pune

Pune, Nov 6 (UNI) The Crime Branch sleuths today apprehended five persons, including three models, from the city's Deccan Gymkhana area for their alleged involvement in the prostitution racket.

Of the three models, two are from Mumbai and one from Kolkata, while the other two are their agents. All the five were arrested from a posh hotel in the Deccan Gymkhana area this evening, said senior PI Vijaysinh Gaikwad of Crime Branch.

He said the police came to know about the prosititution racket on internet, through which the models solicited themselves. On learning that the models were in the city to meet their prosepctive clients, the police sent a bogus customer to the hotel room to finalise the deal, which was settled for Rs 15,000. While the deal was being made, the police raided the hotel and took all the five into custody, he added.
