Six injured as Vaishnodevi-bound helicoter crashes at Katra

Jammu, Nov 6 (UNI) At least five Vaishnodevi pilgrims and a pilot of a private aviation company were injured today when a helicopter ferrying them crashed while taking off at Katra in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

The accident occurred at around 1300 hrs when the Himalayan Aviation's helicopter, ferrying the pilgrims to the Vaishnodevi shrine, developed a technical snag just after the take off.

''The passengers and the pilot received minor injuries and were immediately shifted to the Civil Hospital Katra,'' the sources added.

UNI
