Raj Govt employees get Rs 2,500 bonus for 2006-07

Jaipur, Nov 6: The Rajasthan Government has ordered payment of 30 day adhoc bonus, to a maximum ceiling of Rs 2,500, for the block year 2006-2007, to its non gazetted employees drawing salaries in the pay scale below Rs 8000 to Rs 13,500.

The order to this effect was issued by the state Finance Department here last evening.

As per the order, employees who retired or resigned or died on or before March 31, 2007 would not be eligible for the bonus.

Similarly, probationer trainees appointed on fixed remuneration and employees engaged in the service on part time or daily wage basis would also be not eligible for the bonus.

With this, the Rajasthan Government has maintained status quo on bonus payment. Last year too, the Government had paid identical amount on similar terms as bonus for the block year 2005-2006.

However, the state employees were expecting a raise in the bonus amount to a maximum ceiling of Rs 3,500 on a par to that fixed by the Central Government for its employees.
