One Judicial Transfer, 5 Appointments

New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) The transfer of a Gauhati High Court Judge and the appointment of two Punjab and Haryana High Court Judges and three Orissa High Court Additional Judges by President Pratibha Patil was announced this evening.

Justice Ananda Prakash Subba has been transferred as a Judge of the Sikkim High Court and directed to take charge by Saturday-- November 10, an announcement by the Law and Justice Ministry said.

By another announcement, Punjab and Haryana High Court Additional Judges Amar Nath Jindal and Mohinder Mohan Singh Bedi were appointed Judges in that order of seniority with effect from the day they assume office.

Also announced was the appointment of Justices Biswanath Mahapatra, Bhabani Prasad Ray and Subhash Chandra Parija as Additional Judges of the Orissa High Court in that order of seniority, with a two year term each.
