Mishap kills 6 in Chhattisgarh
Kanker, Chhattisgarh, Nov 6 (UNI) At least six people were killed and 30 injured after a privately-owned bus fell into a 100 foot-deep gorge at about 1530 hrs today in Bastar district's Kanger Valley roughly 25 km from this district headquarters.
''The vehicle -- carrying about 60 passengers -- was en route from Jagdalpur district headquarters to the state capital Raipur when the mishap occurred near Navamod,'' said Superintendent of Police V S Choubey.
Four severely-hurt passengers were being shifted to Kanker District Hospital. Other passengers sustained minor injuries. The deceased were yet to be identified.
