Man sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering Sevadar

Panipat , Nov 6 (UNI) A local court today sentenced a man to life imprisonment for the murder of a Sevadar of Gurudwara at Israna in the district.

The Additional District and Session Judge S K Gupta found accused Avtar Singh, resident of Karnal guilty of murdering the Sevadar.

According to prosecution, on the complaint of Sevadar Lakhwinder Singh, a case of murder was registered against an unidentified person on April 12, 2006 stating that Sevadar Parkat Singh was found murdered in his room in the Gurudwara.

Police had arrested Avtar Singh after investigations.

UNI
