Indrani Mukerjea appointed as CEO, INX MEDIA

Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) The Board of Directors of INX Media has proposed the appointment of Peter Mukerjea as Executive Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer, and has appointed Indrani Mukerjea as Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Ms Mukerjea will report to the Chairman and the Board of Directors of the company.

Speaking to reporters, the Board of INX Media said, ''This decision has been taken in recognition of the efforts of INX team under the guidance of Peter and Indrani, which has resulted in our being able to achieve in the record time of under eight months, the launch of two channels -- the Hindi Music Channel 9XM and the Hindi GEC 9X.'' Ms Mukerjea, speaking on the occasion, said, '' The fact we have been able to launch 9XM and 9X in good time without making any compromise on our mission of providing world class quality is something that would not have been possible without the support of the entire team at INX Media and, in particular, the inspiration and expertise that Peter provides.'' Ms Mukerjea is the Founder of INX Media and Chairperson, INX News. She is a successful entrepreneur and promoter of the INX Group. The Group comprises four companies -- INX Services Private Limited and INX Executive Search Private Limited (in the human resources field) and INX Media Private Limited and INX News Private Limited (in the media broadcasting field).
