HDFC Bank signs MoU with Vaishno Devi Board

Jammu, Nov 6 (UNI) Private sector lender HDFC Bank today signed an agreement with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Katra, whereby devotees around the world can offer donations and also avail other e-Commerce transaction for various services.

The agreement was singed by SMVDSB Chief Executive Officer Dr Arun Kumar and HDFC Bank Country Head (Operations) A Rajan.

The devotees can now opt for any mode for making donations including direct debit to their HDFC Bank account or any Visa/Master, Credit Cards and Debit Cards of any bank.

The CEO said the revenue to the Board, through online services, registered over 100 fold increase from Rs 1.50 lakhs in 2003, when the facility was launched, to Rs 2 crores so far this year.

The HDFC Bank is already offering this facility to many other temples and institutions around the country, like Shree Sidhivinayak, Ganapati Temple, Shri Jagannath Temple and Somnathji Temple.
