Girl commits suicide by consuming salfas tablets in Noida

Noida, Nov 6 (UNI) A 24-year-old woman committed suicide in Gautambudh district of Noida, sector 7, Uttar Pradesh, by consuming poisonous tablets this evening.

Namrata Sharma, an employee of Mahindra Tech Software company, took the drastic step in the office premises.

Superintendent of Police Paresh Pandey told UNI that Namrata, a resident of Uttamnagar in Delhi, consumed the sulphas tablets inside the bathroom. She was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition, where she died while being treated upon.

Mr Pandey further informed that the deceased was employed with the firm as an instructor for the past three months. Namrata's marriage was fixed in Bangalore due to which she used to remain upset, he added.

The body has been sent for a postmortem.
