Gadkari dares Maharashtra Govt
Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP president Nitin Gadkari today dared the Democratic Front (DF) government, asking it to have an open debate with the opposition before the media on its achievements.
On November 1, the DF government completed three years in power.
''Three years of the DF government had taken the state back by a decade as it has an outstanding loan of Rs one lakh and 47 thousand crore, '' Mr Gadkari told newspersons here today.
He alleged that the development works were running behind schedule and the people were supplied with red wheat, meant for feeding pigs in foreign countries, through the public distribution system.
Criticising the DF government for its failure on all fronts, the BJP leader alleged that the Congress-NCP leaders are busy minting money by handing over the land of the religious trusts to private parties and cited the example of Wakf Board.
