Cleartrip launches 'Flights plus Hotel Search'

Chennai, Nov 6 (UNI) Leading online travel service provider Cleatrip today launched 'Flights plus Hotel Search' in its portal, providing customers the flexibility to choose the airline and hotel of their choice.

Talking to newspersons here, company CEO Sandeep Murthy said ''this is a customised product, which provides customers with the option to search and book roundtrip flights and hotels.

''A rich client interface allows the user to instantaly sort and filter results based on his/her preferences," he said adding it would help selection of hotels based on star rating, area, chain, price and amenities.

Mr Sandeep said flights could be selected on airlines, price, time, number of stops and type of ticket.''The price is also instantly update-based on the selection.'' ''The company estimates 30 per cent growth in air and hotel bookings with the introduction of the facility,'' he claimed.

The website would help the customers to select from over 3,500 domestic hotels and 75,000 international hotels along with access to 97 per cent of the domestic airline inventory.

On the overall online travel business in the country, he said it was expected to grow 272 per cent annually.

By 2010, India would be a leading player in the online travel space and transactions would touch US Dollar two billion by next year.
