UGC sanctions Rs 75 lakh for CUSAT electronics dept

Kochi, Nov 5 (UNI) The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sanctioned Rs 75 lakh for the electronics department of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) here.

The amount, sanctioned under a special development scheme of the UGC, would be utilised for research in the fields of microwave electronics, ocean electronics, microprocessor applications and digitial signal processing, a CUSAT release here said today.

The grant was sanctioned on the basis of the previous work done by the department in these fields, it said.
