Thakur leaves for Delhi with final report

Bangalore, Nov 5 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur today left for New Delhi with the 'final report' on the prevailing political situation following BJP-JD (S) combine staking claim to form a new Government in the State.

Mr Thakur's visit to the national capital comes in the wake of the two parties planning to parade their legislators before the President tomorrow to prove their majority to form the new Government.

Mr Thakur is likely to meet Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil to brief him on the latest developments in the State, which is now under the President's rule, Raj Bhavan sources said.

The Governor was also expected to submit his 'final report' on the political situation in the State. On October 31 he had sent a detailed report on the events like BJP dharna, as part of its pressure tactics to invite the party to form the new Government.

JD (S) and BJP MLAs were likely to leave for New Delhi by a special flight tonight.
