Rupee opens low at 39.38/40 per USD

Mumbai, Nov 5: The spot Rupee today opened weaker by eight Paise at 39.38/40 against the US Dollar compared to its previous close of 39.30/31 per Dollar on sustained selling of Dollar by foreign banks and global cues, dealers said.

Later, the spot Rupee fluctuated between 39.30 to 39.42 per Dollar in the intra-day trade.

The partially convertible Indian currency made low start with a loss of eight Paise against the greenback on weaker trend Indian bourses and also in Pound at global markets, dealers added.
