night
after
a
protracted
illness.
She
was
62.
Her last rituals were performed here at Gangaghat today.She is survived by two sons and daughters.
She was honoured with several national and state level awards and honours and credited with earning recognition for madhuban paintings across the world. She had visited several European and Asian countries including France, Britain and Japan.
She was the daughter of Padmshree Jagdamba Devi.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep shock over the demise of Yasoda Devi and described her irreparable loss to the world of fine arts adding she was actually a brand ambassador of madhuban paintings.
