Pregnant woman's rape creates tension in Ballia

Ballia, Nov 5 (UNI) Tension gripped the Sukhpura area of the city after a youth allegedly raped a pregnant woman of another community here.

Shyam alias Pallu criminally assaulted a pregnant woman of another community at village Suryapura yesterday, Police Superintendent Amitabh Thakur today said.

Later, the victim's brother lodged an FIR against the accused.

Meanwhile, the rapist was arrested and victim sent for medical examination.

The incident created tension in the village.
