Poverty-stricken man commits suicide

Aizawl, Nov 5: An unemployed 28-year-old youth, father of two children, shot himself to death, police said here today.

Lalrinngheta shot himself with a country-made rifle at his rented house at Zemabawk locality yesterday.

In his two-page letter to his parents, Lalrinngheta mentioned that he had been undergoing extreme financial hardships and not paid the house rent since many months, police added.

The deceased had parted with his wife sometime back, with whom he had two children, a boy and a girl.

The children lived with him, but they were with their mother since November three.
