CPI optimistic about restration of democracy in Pak

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Nov 5 (UNI) Communist Party of India General Secretary A B Bardhan today said the imposition of emergency in Pakistan was ''painful'' and expressed the hope that democracy would soon be restored in the neighbouring country.

''Imposition of emergency in Pakistan would have its impact on Indo-Pak relations, but efforts to improve the relations should continue,'' he told UNI here.
