Tamil Nadu: Child labourers freed

Perambalur, Nov 5: The district administration has freed a group of child labourers from a cotton farm at Navalkuruchi village in Salem district yesterday.

Official sources said, acting on a tip off a team of revenue officials led by RDO of Athur raided the cotton farm and freed the child labourers.

Five among the freed children, who were hailing from various places in Perambalur district were later handed over to district admnistration. They inturn handed over the children to the parents, the sources added.

Efforts were on to handover rest of the freed child labourers to their parents.
