AP Govt for stern action to prevent ragging

Hyderabad, Nov 5 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government had asked all educational institutions to take stern action to prevent ragging, Higher Education Minister D Srinivas said today.

Replying to Congress Legislator Malreddy Ranga Reddy, the Minister said, ''strict instructions have been issued to educational institutions to implement the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1997.'' No major incidents of ragging had come to the notice of the state government so far, he added.
