5 held for transporting cow's meat

Vadodara, Nov 5 (UNI) Five persons were arrested late last night for allegedly transporting 45 tonnes of cow's meat, police said.

Police intercepted the trucks, in which the meat was being transported, on a complaint lodged by the Bharatiya Sarvadaliya Gowraksha Mahaabhiyan Samiti.

The arrested have been identified as Jairam Nayak, Jagdish Meghawansinh, Narendra Rajput, Mahendra Meghwal and Dhirendra Pal.
