42nd CSI National Convention from Nov 28

Bangalore, Nov 5 (UNI) The 42nd National Convention of Computer Society of India (CSI-2007) will be held here from November 28.

The four-day event would focus on 'GenNext India - Harnessing the Power of IT' and showcase emerging technologies that would touch every aspect of life in the coming days.

Eminent speakers would speak on parallel tracks, 'IT Now, GenNext Technologies and 'Vice of the GenNext', dedicated to the students, a release said here today.

Former President APJ Abdul Kalam would inaugurate the event.

Interesting initiatives like 'Digital Life Showcase', where delegates and visitors can watch live, innovative applications in retail, banking, telecom, healthcare, manufacturing, education and e-governance would form part of the event.

There would be a special event on 'Women in IT', a panel discussion on women in IT like why more women were not visible in top of the management hierarchies in IT companies.
