125 Congress workers arrested

Jabalpur, Nov 5 (UNI) About 125 Congress workers were arrested for attempting to wave black flags to Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ishwardas Rohani, who had led a rally of BJP workers to protest the decision by the Jabalpur Cantonment Board to remove the 10-year-old 'dhobi ghat' and increase in tax.

Alleging that Mr Rohani was neglecting developmental works, Congress leader Alok Chourasia took out a protest rally and attempted to show black flags to him.

Additional Superintendent of Police Manohar Verma said arrested Congressmen were released this evening.

Hectic activity was witnessed throughout the day in the cantonment town due to the BJP rally and its opposition by Congress, members.
