Top LeT cdr, among two ultras, killed in Jammu

Doda, Nov 4 (UNI) Two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, including a self-styled 'district commander', were today gunned down by security forces at Thathry in the hilly Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

SSP Doda Manohar Singh said LeT 'district commander' Shaukat Ali, who was active since 2000, and his associate, Abdul Latif, were killed by a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles and police at Sonardhawa in Thatry.

One AK 47 assault rifle with two magazines, one SLR with one magazine and two pouches were also recovered from the encounter site, he informed.
