Mob injures police, excise officials over raid

Mirzapur, Nov 4 (UNI) A local mob today injured six members of a team comprising excise officials and policemen, following a raid at a liquor factory in Kotwali (dehat) area here.

A joint team of police and excise department conducted a raid at a factory in Jamunhiya village and seized 50 litres liquor.

Later, the local mob attacked the team, injuring six members severely the police said.

Meanwhile, PAC in strength have been deployed in the area to maintain peace, while further investigations were underway.
