Low pressure in Bay, TN to get heavy rain

Chennai, Nov 4 (UNI) A trough of low pressure over Tamil Nadu-Andhra Coast off the Bay of Bengal promises to bring heavy to very heavy rain to parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the next 48 hours.

The met office said here today that under its influence, rainfall or thundershowers were likely in most parts of coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry with isolated showers in interior Tamil Nadu.

Ambur received the highest rainfall of 14 cm followed by Arupukottai (9), Manamelkadu (8), Tirupattur (7), Tiruchendur (6) and Cuddalore, Kovilpatti, Karaikudi and Manamadurai (5).
