Patna, Nov 4 (UNI) LJP Chief and Union Steel and Fertiliser Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today alleged that RJD Chief and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad had not honoured the electoral alliance of his party with the LJP during the last Lok Sabha elections held in 2004.

Addressing a function organised here, Mr Paswan said his party had worked hard to ensure victory of RJD leaders during the last Lok Sabha elections but Mr Prasad had not reciprocated the same, as he did not issue instruction to RJD workers for ensuring the victory of LJP leaders.

''RJD workers had worked hard to ensure defeat of LJP leaders instead'', he charged adding it was in contravention of the spirit of the electoral alliance between two political parties once it was finalised.

''I had always waged a political battle to oust RJD from power in Bihar due to its misrule, but worked out electoral alliance with him during last Lok Sabha elections, to form a secular government at the Centre as removal of the then NDA government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee was my first priority'', he reasoned.

Mr Paswan said he was sure to become Railway Minister in 2004 as Congress President Sonia Gandhi had assured him for that portfolio but it was finally offered to Mr Prasad, who was hell bent for grabbing the Railway Ministry.
