Good turnout for PIB campaign on govt. schemes

Kochi, Nov 4 (UNI) Enthusiastic crowds thronged the Edathala Devi Auditorium here to witness a Press Information Bureau (PIB) awareness campaign on various central government schemes implemented through the state government.

According to a PIB release, local MLA A M Yusuf had inaugurated the five-day programme yesterday.

He also inaugurated an exibition set up at the site and distributed financial assitance offered to economically backward beneficiaries by Canara Bank.

The campaign has been organised by the PIB in collaboration with AIR, Doordarshan, state government departments and public sector undertakings.

Edathala grama panchayat president Lalitha Gopinath presided over the function.
