Emergency unveils Musharraf's real face: BJP
Mirzapur,
Nov
4:
Hours
after
Pakistan's
President
General
Pervez
Musharraf
imposed
emergency
in
the
country,
the
Bharatiya
Janata
Party
today
said
the
''draconial
step''
has
unveiled
the
real
face
of
the
military
ruler
before
the
public
and
India
should
make
efforts
to
reinstate
democracy
in
Islamabad.
''This is one of General Musharraf's greatest errors of judgement and an indication that nothing has been learnt from the past mistakes...by imposing emergency, he has unveiled his real face before the people,'' BJP national president Rajnath Singh told newspersons before paying obeisance at the holy Maa Vindhyavasini Shrine here.
''The Congress led-United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime at the Centre needs to put constant efforts for reinstating democracy in Pakistan and make diplomatic efforts to build mounting pressure on the military ruler by the world community,'' Mr Singh underlined.
He
added
India
''does
not
have
good
relations
with
the
neighbouring
countries.
The
Centre
ought
to
shun
its
'lackadaisical'
attitude
and
make
efforts
in
this
regard.''
