Several Pakistani news channels taken off air

ISLAMABAD, Nov 3 (Reuters) Most private Pakistan news channels were taken off the air today following the imposition of emergency rule by President Pervez Musharraf.

The plug was pulled as leading opposition figure Imran Khan appealed to Pakistanis to come out on the streets to protest General Musharraf's action.
