Muslim clerics deplore attempts to divide community

Mumbai, Nov 3 (UNI) Several Muslim intellectuals and scholars have accused the Central investigative agencies of following policies as being practised by US and Israel to create schism in the Muslim community in the country.

They have called for a national meeting on November 28 here to formulate a strategy for combating such alleged attempts.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at Islam Gymkhana here yesterday which was attended by eminent clerics, including Maulana Zaheer Abbas Rizvi, Maulana Mehmood Daryabadi, Maulana Safdar Karmali and Maulana M Burhaddin.
