“When I was at home, I saw a Blueline bus smashed into a tree. Then I heard them saying on the news channels that three people had died in the collision but when I reached the spot I found out that one has died and two others are in the hospital," says an eyewitness.

The High Court had recently asked the government to explain its stand and tell the court of the measures that the government planned to take to solve the problem of Blueline buses. The deadline given by the court is November 15.

In the past six months, Blueline buses have killed more than 64 people on Delhi roads. At present, 3,800 Blueline buses run on Delhi roads.
