DRDO develops herbal medicine to treat high altitude sickness
Coimbatore, Nov 3 (UNI) The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed a composite herbal preparation to treat high altitude sickness like loss of appetite faced by armed forces deployed in Siachen.
Talking to newspersons here today, DRDO Scientist Selvamurthy said the herbal formulation had been tested and it would be ready for induction.
Another herbal formulation to treat mental stress of the soldiers was also developed.
A report on these formulations was submitted to the Director General of Armed Forces Medical Service for clearance, he added.
