Cong MLA denies land encroachment charges
Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Legislator J Krishna Rao today denied the charges levelled by the TDP that he had encroached lands belonging to Endownments Department.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) office here, he said the TDP was levelling baseless allegations against him.
Mr Rao, who offered to resign if the allegation was proved right, alleged that it was TDP Legislature Party Deputy Leader N Janardhan Reddy, who constructed an hospital in an encroached government land in Nagarkurnool.
Challenging the TDP leader to move the revenue authorities, he clarified that he had purchased six acres of land from one M Ramalingaiah for Rs 25,000 per acre in 1975.
