Congress condemns attack on NDTV staff

New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) The Congress today denounced the attack on on NDTV reporter Prakash Singh and cameraperson Habib Ali at the residence of JD(U) MLA Anant Singh in Patna yesterday, and said the Centre would not hesitate to order a CBI probe if the state government sought for it.

AICC Spokesman and Union Minister Shakeel Ahmed told mediapersons that ''let the state government recommend it (probe). I don't think there is any problem for the Centre.'' He urged state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the administration to ensure that journalists and other mediapersons were allowed to perform their duties in a free and fearless manner.
