Centre entrusts digitalisation project to KSCST

Mysore, Nov 2 (UNI) The Centre has entrusted the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology(KSCST) to take up the digitalisation of the nation in terms of all informations right from Gram Panchayat level to metropolitan cities.

Speaking to newsmen after inaugurating a day-long interaction session on Natural Resources Development Management System at Zilla Panchayat here KSCST Secretary M K Soorappa said that the Council would prepare a web-based portal for this purpose and work in this regard would begin soon.

Stating that the Centre had given this project to Karnataka as it is the only state having such facilities he said the urban planning would also be digitalised to ensure a quality of life through science and technology in the coming days.

The state had already begun such a digitalisation of all its informations from Mysore district, he said adding that it would take up the work all over the state.
