Czech Deputy PM Cunek quits amid scandals
PRAGUE, Nov 1 (Reuters) Czech First Deputy Prime Minister Jiri Cunek resigned today over an investigation into alleged bribe taking.
Cunek, leader of the junior government partner, the centrist Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL), said he wanted the ruling three-party coalition to stay intact. He has said repeatedly he has done nothing illegal.
He said his resignation would take effect next Wednesday.
